We understand that walking into church for the first time can feel overwhelming – in fact, walking into any new place for the first time can feel strange! Please don’t worry – the welcome is always warm and friendly, questions are good and just ‘coming to have a look’ is absolutely fine.
We gather at 10am on Sunday mornings for a service of Holy Communion, during which we remember the last meal that Jesus had with his friends before he died. The service lasts about an hour and ten minutes and includes hymns, prayers, bible readings and a short talk. There are Sunday Club activities for children who are very very welcome! Every few weeks, children and adults worship together at a more informal, creative Holy Communion service that we call Together@10.
A ‘said’ service of Holy Communion (no hymns) which lasts for about half an hour.
The Wednesday Night Service
20 – 30 minutes of quiet prayer, music and reflection. On the last Wednesday of the month, this service includes Holy Communion
First Friday of the Month, 3.30 – 5.30pm
Church but not as you know it! Singing, bible stories, crafts, games, mess and fun all ending with a meal. Children need to come with a grown-up and it’s free!
Most Mornings, 9am
Rev’d Claire and Rev’d Sean say Morning Prayer in the Lady Chapel most mornings at 9am. Enter by the Lady Chapel door (on the right of the church) and start the day with God. If you want to check whether she will be there, just phone or email.
